If you are tired of biking at the gym the whole time, with stationary bikes, either it is within your house or at the gym and you’re tired with the AC that the building has while you are biking and need some outdoor biking area just to relax and exercise, don’t worry Jakarta has the place:
you could go up to Sudirman street where you have your biking session on every Sunday morning.
The track is along the Sudirman street with the beginning if you are from Blok M , it starts from the Bunderan Senayan area and up to the Monas area.
Sunday week 1, 2 and 3 the street would be car free from 6 am up to 9 pm
while on Sunday week four (every last week in a month) the street would be open for biking from 6 am up to 12 noon and usually there are many events there on the fourth week. Either it be performance on the street or up on the stage.
Therefore grab ur bike or maybe you would like to just jog around Sudirman, please enjoy with the rest of the people there. You would simply continue to the MONAS area .. and then have a rest there or even enter the Monas .. take pictures and enjoying the Jakarta view from there.
There are a lot of traditional Indonesian food also on the way to MONAS such as KUE RANGI, the crunchy traditional food with coconut and brown sugar on top / simply coconut and white sugar, and also there is KUE APE with a shape rounded like bigged cooked egg, with taste of pandan etc.
You should try it sometimes and then perhaps continue to JCC where as they usually have exhibitions conducted in the weekends there, could be furniture exhibitions, educations, etc.
